Who can take part?

Schools may be referred to their local Maths Hub for intensive support that do not currently have the capacity to engage with the standard Teaching for Mastery Programme.

To ensure a positive impact on their teaching and learning, schools need to be committed to making long term improvements in maths, and to work closely with the local Maths Hub over a number of years. This includes a commitment to joining a Teaching for Mastery Programme in future years.

What is involved?

Schools taking part will receive bespoke support from a Maths Hub Intensive Support Partner (ISP). The ISP will work closely with school leaders to build capacity, create a supportive culture, and lay strong foundation for improving maths teaching and learning. Together the ISP and school will explore, plan, deliver and sustain a tailored improvement plan.

Funded support is available to provide release time for staff involved in developing and delivering the improvement work, ensuring it fits the schools context.

What is the cost?

Targeted support is funded by the Maths Hub programme, so it is free to participating schools who are suitable for referral and able to make the required commitment.
