How it works

What is a Work group?

The NCETM have devised and honed a collaborative professional development model called a Work Group which we have adopted here at the East Midlands East Maths Hub as the primary way of developing mastery-based teaching in the region. Work groups will typically run for up to a year, meeting regularly and with one or two nominated experienced Teaching for Mastery Specialist teachers taking the lead.

What is a programme?

The East Midlands East Maths Hub offers a wide range of professional development programmes, including subject Leadership and Subject Knowledge Enhancement across all phases including further education. These are often the first step into mastery and joining one of our work groups.
